Biography

Karlina Denistia earned her doctorate in Quantitative Linguistics from the University of Tübingen, Germany. She is currently a lecturer in the English Diploma Program at the Vocational School of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). Guided by her personal motto, “Being a person who brings positive impacts to others,” she actively contributes to teaching, research, and academic writing.

As a linguist, Karlina specializes in corpus-based language research and quantitative approaches to linguistic analysis. Her recent studies focus on Indonesian morphology, particularly the relationship between form and meaning in morpheme combinations using large linguistic datasets. In addition to publishing research in national and international journals, she has authored and co-authored numerous books in linguistics, language learning, and communication. Her publications include Words that Work: Strategi Jitu Membuat Slogan yang Efektif, EasyEnglish, THINK AND LINK: Bahasa Beralih, Pesan Tak Tersisih, and English Missions.
